SONIDOS DE LA CALLE
Mexican culture is full of visual, sonorous, gastronomic and artistic expressions. Every time we go out on the street somewhere in Mexico we are flooded with many impulses and expressions of our culture. One of them are the peculiar sounds that we find in the daily and representative life that makes us feel that we are at home, feeds us with joy or warns us of some moment.
The sounds of the street in Mexico represent us around the world and this new collection wants to play with people to know with surprise and nostalgia these sounds that are part of our traditions and culture.
LA MELODIOSA
Samantha Sarmiento
The melodiosa is inspired by the traditional barrel organ and its melodies found in parks and downtown areas of Mexico.
It is a piece made of wood, leather and brass details, which works analogously and produces the melody to the rhythm in which the handle is turned.
EL TAQUERO

’The Taquero’ is a piece of wood with copper details that is inspired by Mexican street sounds, this one in particular is based on the sound and environment that surround the experience of the taquero trunk and its use. The object reproduces the constant and percussive sound that is generated when mincing the meat on the trunk

The sound of the marimba is part of the identity naucalpense; even, there is a place known as "the street of the marimbas", where many people decided to change careers to charolear, that is, to go out into the streets with the enthusiasm of touching beautiful pieces asking for a little cooperation
LOS CALIENTITOS
Diana Orta
This mini version of the classic cart of tamales oaxaqueños carries inside the traditional yell made by Elias Zavaleta, the original voice of the famous choru. This morning's sound gathers people to buy some warm and delicious tamales oaxaqueños. Full of flavors, the tricycle may be found rolling on the streets of Mexico state and Mexico City.
LA RASPOSA

The “Arpa Jarocha”, its a very characteristic traditional Mexican instrument from the state of Veracruz. Used in the “son jarocho”, it delights us with its unique, happy and fun melodies that can be easily recognized throughout Mexico. This harp has 32 or 36 strings which allow the user to create melodies harmonizing bass and treble tones at the same time, thanks to this, it has become a unique instrument.
LA CHILLONA

Walking through the park and city centers you will never miss this sound accompanied by many colors in the air. The sound of a “globero“ is produced by a simple piece of straw, it has the characteristic of being a squeaky, sharp and strong sound. Thanks to the fact that it is produced by the same “globero”, it can have different variations of speeds and volumes..
EL CHIRRIDO

The sound of the knife sharpener flute is unmistakable and forms part of Mexico city music. The knife sharpener , the man who announces his presence with a sound that has prevailed for generations. Walking slowly with the solemnity that his occupation deserves
