OFFICE FUTURES: POST-PANDEMIC WORKSPACES
HONORARY MENTION
The coronavirus pandemic, which has been a tragedy and may just be the first of many, taught us how unadaptable our workspaces were, for which a furniture collection was designed that seeks a better way of working after this collective trauma, following the 4 areas of action of Office Futures: Collaboration, Concentration, Learning and Social.
Students: Carlos Uriel Avilés Montellano, Camila Maupomé de la Vega, Regina Tello de Meneses García Terrazas, Dafne Irais Morales García, Valeria Alejandra Morán Zavala, Andrea González Gómez, Fernanda Ramírez Olivares, Hugo Ulises Dimas Gallegos, Mónica Lizbeth Sánchez García, Lissett González Contla and Diana Montealegre Guillén.
APRENDIZAJE
Noticing that our workspaces are unadaptable to extreme situations, we designed a piece of furniture that criticizes the lack of informal learning through a desk that provides the opportunity to have this type of learning, in addition to an individual one, following the Office Futures action area: Learning.
CONCENTRACIÓN
Due to the fact that people's mental health was affected by different factors of the pandemic, we designed a piece of furniture that seeks to provide the user with a space in which they can focus on their work avoiding distractions from the outside to increase productivity during working hours, following the Office Futures action area: Concentration.
COLABORACIÓN Y SOCIAL
After observing how inflexible and unadaptable our workspaces are, we designed a piece of furniture that seeks to criticize the individuality acquired during the pandemic, promoting interaction between colleagues without the need to use a physical barrier, following the Office Futures action area: Collaboration and Social.
