Mutant artifacts: archiving, economics, and the possibilities of the discovery proposes a methodology for designing artifacts, based on the creation from local findings. The research study is based on the analysis of local materiality and our relationship in an immediate context. This project is an essay and a reflection on our way of doing design.

ALCHEMY OF BECOMING

Alchemy of becoming is a project that pretends to describe the act of decay as an inevitable and uncontrollable event through the categorization and taxonomy of biological samples of specific elements.
This is a project in which the material presented is the protagonist, and time and its context are the active actors in its development and, consequently, its becoming.
CIEN
Ximena Bravo Barreto
Prevention and identification system of enforced disappearance victims, that uses tattoos as the main data point, and the help of the community. It aims to preserve and give back the identity and dignity of the victims. For that, CIEN built: templates for search collectives, a security app, and the biometrization of tattoos.
ATTRAVERSO
Alessia Tatti
Collection of decorative pieces whose purpose is to contain objects of emotional value. It seeks to highlight the most significant elements of things that we usually do not expose. Memorias presents belongings from our past that also define who we are today. I designed this collection as part of the development of my personal brand ATTRAVERSO. Its goal is to transform spaces through objects that satisfy emotional, sensory and aesthetic needs by fulfilling a function.
