PATOMAR
Isabella Rincón Moya
The water crisis in Mexico, intensified by climate conditions, resource management, and human activity, requires urgent attention. Patomar is a portable, autonomous, and accessible device that monitors household water quality by measuring its turbidity and dissolved solids, promoting citizen supervision of the water we consume in our daily lives.
nodo
María Fernanda Arellano Herrera
Design of school furniture for primary education, composed of modular, lightweight, and reconfigurable units that promote interaction, spatial play, and creative thinking. Made from recycled materials or industrial by-products, the system aims to be low-cost, easy to assemble, and adaptable to various pedagogical dynamics, offering a flexible alternative to traditional school furniture to foster creative development in the classroom.
ABIS
Fernando Ayala
ABIS is a speculative design project that critiques anthropocentrism and proposes a form of communion with other living beings, especially plants. Using sensors, it captures subtle signals from both plants and users, transforming them into woven patterns created on a foot loom with OMEGA cotton yarns. These are then crafted into woven accessories in the style of leather goods, symbolizing this interspecies connection.
